How To Start Services
Anyone can refer a patient to Four Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care; just call us at 692-6178.
Many times friends or families will call because they need help. We take the initiative from there and will have the necessary conversations with other family members, the prospective patient, and the physician in order to get services started.
Four Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care offers services to anyone dealing with a chronic serious illness or limited life expectancy. It is very important to realize that you do not have to be days away from death to be admitted to Four Seasons. It is not unusual for people who are admitted to hospice service to live longer than six months. In fact, recent studies have shown that patients that receive hospice care actually live longer.
Palliative Care is a program that aims to relieve suffering and improve quality of life by providing holistic care to patients and families with serious chronic illness. Like hospice services, this care is coordinated with your family physician. Unlike hospice, Palliative Care is available to patients at any stage of a serious chronic illness, and can be provided along with curative/life prolonging treatments.
